ASHA’s agriculture programs address the full food system, from production to market. This includes securing Food and Nutrition through targeted interventions for vulnerable groups and promoting Seed Security & Biodiversity by advising on national laws like Biosafety and PVP.
In the health sector, ASHA works to strengthen public health systems and increase preparedness. We focus on addressing data gaps and providing advocacy and awareness for Non-Communicable and Preventable Diseases (NCDs). Recognizing that lab results underpin 70% of clinical decisions, we advocate to strengthen Laboratory Medicine systems.
ASHA recognizes that weak systems and limited data hamper decision-making in both agriculture and health. To address this, we are establishing a unique digital platform to facilitate timely and accurate data acquisition for all stakeholders.
